We're thinking that they put ice around the stoneware & poured the water or other liquid inside the stoneware. The nozzle still seems to work. The bottom of the metal casing is rusty. Some people would just take the stoneware piece out & display it with their other stoneware.

Measures about 12" tall & the metal is about 14" in diameter.
